2:40 – Release from School and eat on your own (No Meal Deal)

4:15 – Rehearsal at RHS

5:15 – Load and Snack

6:00pm – Leave RHS for Pennington Field

6:35pm – Arrival on Site

7:05pm – Warm up on Site

7:45pm – Perform

8:15 – Load Bus

8:30 – Leave for RHS

8:50 – Estimated arrival at RHS

9:15 – Estimated release from RHS

8:30am – 11am Rehearse at RHS (R Shirt, Shorts, and Marching Shoes)

11am – 1:00 – Lunch on your own

1:00 – Meet in RHS Band Hall

1:30 – Leave RHS

2:15 – Arrive on Site

3:15 Warm up on site

7:00 – Earliest possible warm up for Finals

7:45 – Earliest possible performance for Finals

Eat Dinner either before Finals performance or after finals performance

10:45 – Finals Awards

1:00 – Estimated arrival at RHS


BOA San Antonio Parent/Student Meetings
We are asking all new parents that have a child new to the program to attend one of the four scheduled meetings. If you are a veteran parent that has sent a child on a trip with RHS Band, there will be no need for you to attend. If you have never sent your child on a trip with the RHS band, please make plans to attend. We have scheduled four meetings to work around work schedules.  If for some reason you are unable to make any meeting due to work, please email Mr. Bird @ .
All students will need to attend one of the four meetings in order to go on the trip with the Band. The meeting will be located in the Band Hall and the times are as follows …
Monday 10/28 – 7am – 8am
Tuesday 10/29 – 6pm – 7pm
Wednesday 10/30 – 6:30am – 7:30am
Wednesday 10/30 – 3pm-4pm
BOA San Antonio Bus Sign Up
Yes, it’s here! Everyone’s favorite day!!!
The Bus Sign up for BOA San Antonio will begin next Monday, 10/21, with Seniors. The student  must be paid in full for the trip in order to sign up for a bus.  Seniors will sign up will be on Monday, Juniors on Tuesday, Sophomores on Wednesday, and Freshman on Thursday. All sign ups will be done with Mr. Dupre.
 If you plan on sitting with a person younger than you, you will need to sign up with that class.  So that there is no confusion, you will only be allowed to sign yourself up for a seat.  Because of logistics with hair, make-up, etc… all color guard will be on Bus 5, however individual seats can be signed up for.
USA Flag Fundraiser Blast Off
Tomorrow, 10/18, we will start a major push flag subscriptions. We are asking each family to sell 2-5 subscriptions. Each student will be given 5 order forms and will have until 10/28 to return the order forms to Mr. Bird at the Band Hall. All of the proceeds go to the kids. Please help us raise money for these students!!!  We have prizes and parties lined up for the top sellers. See below for more information….
Show your pride in the USA while supporting the Richland High School Band! With your $40 donation, band members will place a U.S. flag at your residence on the following patriotic holidays:
  • Veteran’s Day – Nov. 11, 2013
  • Presidents’ Day – Feb. 17, 2014
  • Memorial Day – May 26, 2014
  • Independence Day – July 4, 2014
  • Labor Day  – Sept. 1, 2014
  • Patriot Day – Sept. 11, 2014
Flags will be put in place the night before and removed the day after the holiday. Flags will not be placed in inclement weather.

12:15 – Arrive at Canyon High School

1:00 – rehearsal at Canyon High School

2:30 – Load

3:15 – Leave Canyon High School

4:15 Arrive and unload at Alamodome

5:00pm – warm Up on Site

6:00pm – Perform

6:30 – Load Bus and Leave for Hotel

7:15 Arrive at Hotel

8:00 – food to room


7:00am – Wake up and eat breakfast at Hotel

10:00 – Load and Leave for run through at a local High School

11:00 – Run Through at a local High School

12:00 – Load and leave for the Alamodome

1:00 – Arrive at the Alamodome. Watch bands perform in the preliminary competition.

Lunch on your own at the Alamodome ($12-$15 is recommended)

4:30 – Preliminary Awards

7:00 – Finals competition Begins

Dinner provided at Alamodome

11:00 – Finals Awards

12:00 – Load Bus and Leave for Hotel

Curfew – TBA

  2. Under special instructions, please put the name of your child
  3. Please be advised that only the amount after the Paypal fees will be placed in your child’s charms ledger.
